Summer is upon us and now is the time to break out the airy summer dresses.

What to look for in a summer dress
Material of Dress
You’ll want to consider the material of the dress. Typically cotton blend or linen blend dresses so well with the summer season. You’ll want to stay away from heavy fabrics where possible.
Length of Dress
This is the time of year for shorter dresses or light and airy longer dresses that flow and move. You can definitely get away with dresses above the knee and frankly it may feel better to wear a short dress in the heat. And it really is okay to base your outfits on comfort.
Sleeve Length
Do you want a sleeveless dress or maybe a cap sleeve? There’s also short sleeves and above the elbow. Every sleeve length serves a different purpose in the design of the dress. I also choose the sleeve length for what flatters my arms the most.
Summer Vibe
I find that there are two camps of summer dresses, the bright and bold and fun colors and patterns – or the neutrals and linen and baggy dress look. I actually enjoy both looks and think you can rock both styles in the same wardrobe.
