Self-care isn’t just a trending word and thing to do, although it has gotten trendy nowadays. That doesn’t mean it’s lost its power. It’s often vital for women especially to incorporate self-care into their lives to keep peace in their hearts and a healthy body and mind.
What is Self-Care
Maybe you’re like, okay so self-care isn’t just a buzzword, then what really is self-care? Valid question and one I hope to answer in this article.
Self-care isn’t just about painting your toenails or taking a hot bubble bath. Oh sure, those can be components to self-care but self-care is much more than those stereotypical activities.
Self-care is the practice of intentionally taking care of your physical, emotional, and mental well-being so that you can enjoy more peace and happiness in your life.
It is a holistic approach that prioritizes nourishing yourself, both physically and emotionally, to maintain a healthy and balanced life. Self-care involves recognizing and responding to our individual needs, making time for activities that promote relaxation, stress reduction, and personal growth.
Self-care is healthcare!

If taking the time for your body, mind, and spirit is going to help you maintain good mental, physical, and emotional health then why wouldn’t we want to put in the effort of self-care?
